The Best Beers I Had in November 2025

I hosted a fun beer tasting in November about beer’s evolution in America with a great group. We had pumpkin beer, Vienna Lager, Porter, Standard American Lager, American Pale Ale, American IPA, Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout and American Wild Ale. I also visited family and friends in Baltimore over Thanksgiving and enjoyed some of my favorite local beers there.

Prost Brewing Vienna Lager

Vienna Lager

Prost Brewing
Vienna Lager, 5.4% ABV

I think Vienna Lager is one of the most underrated beer styles around. It’s flavorful but not filling, balanced and crisp. I think it’s also a style that can easily be enjoyed year round. I love Prost’s version, which has a crisp finish, toasty malt flavor and a subtle floral note from the noble hops.

Nepenthe Brewing Aeromancer West Coast IPA

Aeromancer

Nepenthe Brewing Co.
West Coast IPA, 7% ABV

Nepenthe has a wealth of delicious Hazy IPAs, but I prefer a crystal clear West Coast IPA. Theirs is really solid, hopped with a blend of Simcoe, Mosaic, Cryo, Strata, Citra, Chinook, CTZ and Amarillo that creates flavors of stone fruit, citrus and berries.

Elder Pine Pils, German Pilsner

EP Pils

Elder Pine Brewing & Blending Co.
German Pilsner, 5% ABV

Elder Pine’s Pilsner is really more of a hybrid between German and Czech because it uses German barley and Czech hops. The combination leads to a refreshing pilsner that has an aroma and flavor reminiscent of bread, lemon and grass.

Key Brewing Speed Wobbles Session IPA

Speed Wobbles

Key Brewing
Session IPA, 4.6% ABV

This is a solid Session IPA brewed with a combination of Amarillo, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Chinook hops that is flavorful, but not overpowering.

Brewers Art Resurrection Belgian-Style Ale

Resurrection

The Brewer’s Art
Belgian Dubbel, 7% ABV

This is one of my all-time favorite beers and one of the first beers that got me interested in craft brewing. I drink it whenever I’m in Baltimore. It’s a complex but not over-complicated beer that has notes of raisin, clove and a deep sweetness. The deep ruby hue just adds to its appeal.

Sapwood Cellars and Outer Range Brewing collaboration dry-hopped double IPA

The Maryland Alps

Sapwood Cellars
Hazy Double Dry-Hopped Double IPA, 8% ABV

I don’t drink a ton of Hazy IPAs, but I had to try this one when I saw it in the store because of the collaboration with Outer Range Brewing in Frisco. It’s hopped with a blend of French Barbe Rouge hops for their light, bright strawberry aroma, Simcoe for some mango/tropical flavors and experimental HBC 630 for raspberry and peach aromas.
