The Best Beers I Had in April 2026
In April, I visited New Image Brewing’s Wheat Ridge location and had some incredible beers. It was a good reminder to get out and enjoy some of the taprooms that are a little outside of my neighborhood. We’ve got great craft beer all over the Denver metro area.

Geographically Misleading
New Image Brewing
West Coast IPA, 6.7% ABV
New Image excels at IPAs. Of the three I had while I was there, this was my favorite. Brewed in collaboration with Westbound & Down, it was an instant reminder of why I love West Coast IPAs. A combo of Cryo Fresh Krush, Krush Hyperboost, Mosaic and Mosaic Cryo hops creates intense flavors of pink grapefruit zest, apricot, guava and mixed berries, while still remaining crisp and refreshing.

Dear You
Ratio Beerworks
French Saison, 5.5% ABV
This is one of those trademark⢠beers that I picture and can almost taste the second I think of Ratio. Their whole lineup features flavors that are uniquely them, with this one being one of my favorites. They add Citra to this French Saison to lift its citrus zesty qualities and add bitterness. The result is delicious and complex.

Mind Circus
Russian River Brewing Company
Hazy IPA, 7.0% ABV
I don’t typically love hazy IPAs because I prefer the more bitter bite of a West Coast IPA, but the hop combination in this one makes it a winner for me. Strata, Azacca and Mosaic hops create sweet, fruity notes of pineapple and mango.
